Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SnapMyDeal, operated by AVL Developments LLC ("we", "us", "our"), collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information — your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile picture as provided by Google OAuth.
- Scan content — the window-sticker photos you upload and the vehicle data extracted from them (year, make, model, trim, options, MSRP, VIN, stock number, dealer information shown on the sticker).
- Billing information — your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing history. We do not store your full payment card number; that is handled directly by Stripe.
- Technical data — IP address, user-agent string, and basic request logs that we use to keep the service secure and to debug problems.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Run the core analysis — extract data from your photo, generate pricing estimates, and store the results in your account.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Provide customer support when you contact us.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our Terms.
- Comply with our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
3. Service providers we share data with
We rely on a small number of third-party processors to operate the service. They only receive what they need to perform their function and are bound by their own data-protection commitments:
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and storage of your scan images.
- Stripe — payment processing, subscription management, and tax handling for purchases.
- AI model providers (currently Google and OpenAI) — we send the contents of your sticker image and the extracted text to these providers strictly to perform the OCR and analysis. We do not authorize them to use your data to train their public models.
We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and your scans for as long as your account is active so you can return to past analyses. You can delete individual scans from your dashboard. To delete your entire account and associated scan data, email support@snapmydeal.app from the address on file and we will process the request within 30 days. We may retain limited records (such as billing receipts) longer when required by tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.
5. Your rights
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law (for example, the right to object to certain processing or to data portability). Submit any request to support@snapmydeal.app and we will respond in a reasonable timeframe.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in across visits and to temporarily hold scan images while a scan is being processed. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Some of our processors (such as Stripe and our authentication provider) may set cookies needed for their functionality on the pages where they are embedded.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), row-level security on user data in our database, and principle-of-least-privilege access controls — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we work to minimize risk and to respond promptly to incidents.
8. Children
SnapMyDeal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice.
